2.4 SimuWave Mobile App Data
When you install and use the SimuWave Mobile app for iOS or Android, we access the following device resources solely to provide the softphone functionality. All access is gated by the operating system's permission prompts and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
- Microphone: Required to capture your voice during calls. Audio is streamed directly to the other party over an encrypted media channel and is not stored or recorded by the app.
- Contacts: Read-only access used to display the contact name when you receive a call from a number saved on your device. Contact data is processed locally on the device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Push Notifications & VoIP Push Tokens: The app registers with Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and provides us with an opaque push token. We store this token associated with your extension so our push gateway can wake the device for incoming calls when the app is backgrounded or closed. The token does not identify you as an individual; it identifies the install of the app on your specific device.
- Device Identifiers: The push token described above is the only persistent device-scoped identifier we collect from the mobile app. We do not collect IDFA, IDFV, advertising identifiers, or location data.
- Background Audio & VoIP Modes: The app uses iOS background modes for VoIP and audio so calls in progress continue when you switch apps or lock the screen. These modes are not used for any other purpose, including analytics or location tracking.
The SimuWave Mobile app is intended for business communications by employees of customer organizations and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the mobile app.
