A signature ring for every number

Each DID can now be assigned its own ring cadence.

The pattern is signalled to the handset in the Alert-Info header on the inbound INVITE, so the distinction is made per call rather than per device — every phone the number reaches rings identically, without per-handset configuration.

Implementation

• Assigned on the DID, so the cadence applies wherever that number routes — direct extension, ring group, or call flow.
• Standard Bellcore cadences, mapped to the handset's native distinctive-ring profiles.
• No handset reconfiguration. The signalling is per call; existing provisioning is unchanged.
• Effective on the next inbound call after the DID is saved.

Supported on Grandstream handsets. Other vendors implement Alert-Info inconsistently — confirm with us before assigning cadences to a mixed fleet.
